Capitol Canada EAP1-2121 Four By The Beatles

Issued in May 1964, this was the only Beatles extended play released in Canada.  With the four songs on the E.P. previously released as singles this E.P. was not a big seller.  It is commonly reported that no more than 5000 copies were pressed.

This E.P. was released in both Canada and the USA at the same time.  The USA version used paper slicks over cardboard.  The Canadian version was printed directly on die cut card which was folded into a sleeve.  "Litho In Canada" and the Parrs' logo is printed on the front.

In the US this E.P. was released in a cardboard picture cover and also in a stock Capitol company sleeve.  In Canada all copies came in the cardboard picture cover in a loose wrap and regularly priced at $1.49. 

It is more common to find the disc without the sleeve although both the cover and disc are hard to find in excellent condition.
