Atco 6308 Ain't She Sweet / Nobody's Child

Released in mid 1964, Atco 6308 was another attempt to cash in on Beatlemania by releasing songs from the Tony Sheridan-Beatles' Hamburg sessions.

In 1964 Atlantic (Atco) replaced MGM as the North American distributor for Polydor and as a result obtained the rights to four songs from the Sheridan-Beatles' sessions. In Canada this was Atco's only 45 RPM release.

It did not sell well although a lot of copies appear to have been pressed. As a result copies in VG & VG+ are fairly common finds while mint or near mint copies are much rarer.

The majority were released in either a plain brown sleeve or a London Records company sleeve, with a few hundred copies released in an imported U.S. picture sleeve.  It is reported some copies were released with a "Demonstration Record Not For Sale" sticker on the label.

Recent sales of this item in VG++/EX condition were in the $25 - $40 range. A NM or M- copy will be closer to $50. The U.S. imported picture sleeve in excellent condition is quite rare, so expect to pay $80 to $120.
