Capitol of Canada promotional photograph

Early releases of the "Twist and Shout" L.P. T-6054 included a Capitol of Canada promotional 8" X 10" glossy photograph and a bright orange label on the shrink.

Copies of this L.P. with an intact sticker are quite rare and infrequently come up for sale.  The last recorded sale of this item that I am aware of was in 2016 and was in the $580 range.

As well as being included with the L.P. the glossy photograph was made available in record stores as a counter "give-away" or included with the sale of a Beatles' album. The photograph was also sold at record counters including Eaton's for 25 cents.

There is also a smaller 5" X 7" version that was issued in a cellophane wrapper and may have been sent to radio stations as a promotion.

The 8" X 10" glossy by itself in excellent condition has a value of approximately $40 - $60. As a guestimate the smaller version would most likely sell in the same range as the large photograph.

Both the glossy photograph and the orange sticker have been reproduced. Buyer beware!

Capitol photo customized for Toronto radio station CKEY

Some copies of the photograph were customized along the bottom with radio station call numbers or the names of local record stores. While most of the customized copies were printed on thick glossy paper others were printed on thinner paper with a matte finish. The value of the custom copies is in the $40 to $60 range.
