Released in February, 1966. In Canada Nowhere Man was a number one hit. The b-side, "What Goes On" was originally written by Paul and John during their Quarrymen days and in 1963 the Beatle's cut a demo version. The composition was again reworked for the 1966 release. This was the only Beatles song credited to Lennon-McCartney-Starkey.
The initial first few thousand copies were housed in an imported east coast U.S. picture sleeve. Remaining copies came in a white Capitol sleeve.

"Nowhere Man" was a number one hit across Canada holding the position for approximately two weeks.
The initial release omitted Ringo's song writing credit for the B-side, although he always stated he didn't contribute more than a few words. Later pressings corrected the b-side credits from John Lennon-Paul McCartney to Lennon-McCartney-Starkey. The corrected label is harder to find.
Nowhere Man was one of two Capitol of Canada Beatles' 45 RPM to receive a delete drill hole, the other being "All You Need Is Love".
A NM copy of Nowhere Man has a value of $30 -$35. The picture sleeve in NM condition has a value around $70. The combined value in NM condition is $90 to $120.
A NM disc with a Starkey credit on the B-side has a value of $40.
