As far as I know Japan is the only country were original issue Beatles' retail records were issued on coloured vinyl. In all other countries authorized coloured vinyl retail pressings were re-issues or later original issues such as Reel Music.
In Canada six different issues and re-issues were pressed in coloured vinyl.
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Capitol SEAV 11840 Gray marbled vinyl, issued 1978). This L.P was deleted from the Capitol catalogue in 1980 and could be found in delete /discount bins for $2.98.
The Beatles (Capitol SEBX 11841, white vinyl, 1978) All Canadian white vinyl copies of the "White album" have a typo error on side 1. The track "While My Guitar..." starts with "Whil". The "e" is missing and this was never corrected.
The Beatles 1962-1966 (Capitol SEBX 11842, red vinyl, 1978)
The Beatles 1967-1970 (Capitol SEBX 11843, blue vinyl, 1978)
Love Songs (Capitol SEBX 11844, yellow vinyl, 1978)
Reel Music (SV 12199) Numbered, limited edition, on yellow vinyl, 1982). In Canada the yellow vinyl numbered pressing was a "Limited Edition" while in the USA the yellow vinyl numbered pressing was a promo.
Currently a sealed Sgt. Pepper will sell for $100 to $120 and an opened excellent copy between $35 and $65. A sealed Love Songs sells for around $120 to $140 and a sealed red or blue compilation L.P. for between $80 and $100. A sealed White Album has a value of approximately $120 and an opened copy approximately $80 to $100. A sealed Reel Music has an approximate value of $100 to $120 and an opened copy in excellent condition is around $100.
